Candidates should be in good academic standing and have earned an A or B+ in course in which they will serve as a learning assistant. The ability to work with small groups and strong administrative skills are required.
Learning assistants earn a stipend of $550 per semester. Learning assistants must commit to working for the LA Program for a full academic year, though guarantee of employment is subject to job performance reviews, successful completion of the training sessions in fall 2016, LA Program needs, and the student's availability. First semester learning assistants must participate in this required training sessions.
Currently learning assistant opportunities will be available in Calculus I and Calculus II.
